Hey my friends, welcome to my One Brush Wonder Procreate watercolour brush set for beginners.
My aim with this mini set of brushes is to give you an easy introduction into digital watercolour in Procreate. I bring you a brush set that is simple to use, it needs no fancy canvas, no layers (apart from if you wish to add white highlights), and with one stroke you can create beautiful watercolour art really simply. I spent a whole 3 months perfecting this small but mighty brush set, I wanted to make sure it was perfect and as simple to use as I could possibly make it, and tried it out on a number of personal projects.. (you can see my art with this brush on my instagram account @sketchwerx).
I will be creating tutorials with this brush set to help you on your way, I also added a quick one in the product images, but in the mean time, just get a feel for this brush by having a little play around with different pressures and what they do.
Tips:
1. Try to keep the Apple Pencil in contact with the screen until you have finished painting your shape or area. This will create a more realistic watercolour effect. By adding pressure to your pencil when painting, you will be able to change the flow of the paint, for example, lighter pressure creates lighter washes and heavy pressure creates darker areas within your stroke.
2. Stamp your paper texture first, resize to fit your canvas. Add a new layer beneath your texture layer, and then start your painting on this layer.
